Registrations are now being accepted for the forthcoming
MIDS Link 16 Training course which is due to take place online between 22 - 26
June 2020. The aim of the course is to
provide students with a comprehensive understanding of MIDS Link 16 and covers
both technical and operational employment of the system.
By the end of the course, students will be able to explain,
describe, identify, interpret and recall a range of MIDS Link 16 related
protocols and data including MIDS terminal characteristics, J-Series message
catalogue, Frequency Clearance Agreements and the use of the Operational
Tasking (OPTASK) Link. The course will
also explore the planned changes to the terminals used by Link 16 in accordance
with Block Upgrade 2.
The course is spread over 5 days, in sessions of
approximately 3.5 to 4 hours in duration to ensure an engaging learning
experience and is aligned with what students receive when attending our MIDS
Link 16 classroom course.
Training delegates receive unlimited access to the SyntheSys
Defence Community Portal along with electronic copies of the course material,
and the MIDS Link 16 manual via the portal.
