The UK MoD Abbey Wood site near Bristol has recently hosted
a one day ‘Introduction to TDLs’ training course. The training provided a high level overview
of Links 1, 11, 16 & 22 with additional insight into both Variable Message
Format (VMF) and Joint Range Extension Application Protocol (JREAP). Furthermore, there was instruction and discussion
on enhancements to current systems along with future programmes being
developed. As with all of our training
courses, each attendee received a hard copy of the relevant training manual, in
this case our extensive – ‘Introduction to TDLs’ manual.
As part of our continued engagement with the TDL community,
we will be attending the International Data Links Symposium (IDLS) in Ottawa,
Canada 3rd- 6th November 2015. We look forward to meeting both current and
