SyntheSys Delivers Variable Message Format (VMF) over Combat Net Radio (CNR) Training to Airbus Defence & Space

SyntheSys Defence is delighted to announce it has recently delivered another two and half day VMF over CNR training course.  During day one, the course initially explored the history, basic features and operational users of VMF before progressing on to K-Series messages and their functional use.  The relevant United States (US) Military Standards were then introduced with focus on the mandated US/United Kingdom (UK) header.  On the second day, the attention at first switched to CNR and the many technical aspects, with emphasis on Types of Service and Network Access Control.  The second day concluded with the key VMF planning and network design parameters.  Finally, on day three Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) Block 1 & 2 Engineering Change Proposals were discussed in detail.

All students provided a feedback score of Excellent and identified that their top learning outcome from the course was the realisation of the potential complexities of both VMF and CNR interoperability.  Paul Czajkowski who presented the course said, “It’s extremely rewarding that those who attend our training courses, develop their knowledge of the subject so quickly and whilst doing so actually enjoy the experience!”
