2021 Tactical Data Link Training Dates Confirmed

Registration Now Open for Online Introduction to Systems Engineering Course 9-10 February 2021

 

Following the overwhelming interest we have received in our Introduction to Systems Engineering course, and in response to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we are delighted to confirm that the next scheduled course will take place via online delivery.

This two-day course has been designed to provide a high-level foundation to the principles and practices of systems engineering.  The course content is aligned with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Systems Engineering Handbook and provides an introduction and overview of the processes required for successful systems engineering delivery on projects. 

Presented by a fully accredited, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) instructor, the course examines the role and benefits of applying systems engineering principles within your organisation.  We teach students how to define systems engineering, understand the approach and scope and identify key systems engineering models.

What you will learn:

  • A definition of systems engineering in accordance with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook;
  • An understanding of the systems engineering approach and scope;
  • Key systems engineering models and details of each;
  • How systems engineering methodology improves engineering programmes and how to apply these methods;
  • The role of organisational stakeholders throughout the systems engineering life cycle, and the vital role each plays;
  • The cost element of systems engineering.

Accelerating Engineering Innovation in the Rail Industry Virtual Roundtable: Panellists Confirmed

 


SyntheSys Technologies and IBM® are inviting members of the Rail Industry to join this 1.5-hour roundtable event which aims to explore how rail organisations can and are using systems engineering practices as a key driver of innovation within rail engineering operations.  

As we prepare for what we hope will be a useful and informative event, we are pleased to share details of the confirmed panellists.

Joining us on the panel will be industry specialists and systems engineering personnel from Transport for London (TfL), High Speed 2 (HS2) and Network Rail Consulting Group.  The panel will also be joined by esteemed independent consultant, Gordon Woods.

Attendance at this roundtable session will benefit personnel operating in design, development, engineering, or innovation roles within the rail industry.  The session will explore current and emerging industry challenges and opportunities with a focus on future innovation.

Data Link Manager / Interface Control Officer Summer Course Planned and Open for Registration | 12 – 30 July 2021 | Oeiras, Portugal


A New Year Brings a New Opportunity to Access Leading Tactical Data Link (TDL) Training! 

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our next classroom-based Data Link Manager (DLM) / Interface Control Office (ICO) course which will be taking place in Oeiras, Portugal between 12 – 30 July 2021.

The DLM/ICO course is designed to catapult individuals with little or no knowledge of TDL’s and associated responsibilities to a stage where they can successfully and efficiently carry out their duties.  The course provides students with a fundamental understanding of various TDLs, then, using state of the art simulation tools, practically applies this knowledge to real world scenarios.  The DLM/ICO course is based on North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and United States (US) documentation fused with instructor experience.  The course relies on practical exercises and assignments which gives a working understanding of the course concepts.

If you are part of a Data Link Management Cell, or perhaps a Multi-Tactical Data Link Network Planner or Designer and would like to strengthen and deepen your knowledge base, this course is for you.

Or perhaps you are involved in TDL sustainment, TDL procurement or multi-TDL evaluation and would like a more rounded and comprehensive understanding of key TDL concepts and themes?

The DLM/ICO course caters to personnel from many different backgrounds and ultimately provides working knowledge to personnel whose role it is to plan, build, manage, interact, develop, and engage in Multi-Tactical Data Link Architectures and operations.
